Open Source Conference 2011 Tokyo/Fall

Ubuntu Japanese Team attended Open Source Conference 2011 Tokyo/Fall in Japan. Participants are Mitsuya Shibata(cosmos-door), Fumihito Yoshida(hito), Nobuto Murata(nobuto), Kentaro Kazuhama(kazken3 / not a LoCo member) and me(mizuno-as).


Exhibitions(Distribution of the Oneiric CD, demo Oneiric) and seminars held. Distributed a CD of over 200 in exhibitions(total of Ubuntu ,Ubuntu server and Kubuntu). The contents of the seminar is "Ubuntu 11.10 and ARM Devices", was responsible for Fumihito Yoshida.


The team has created a mascot for each Ubuntu release. This is Oneiric(Sleeping? Dreaming?) Ocelot made by Mitsuya's partner. So cute?


Running Ubuntu on Acer ICONIA Tab A500(provided by kazken3). He is also the translator has contributed the most to the GNOME and Ubuntu.
The OSC, were also translated BoF. kazken3 talked about the Ubuntu translation in Japanese.
